25 WSSM

I am discovering this cartridge is almost obsolete. I assume I can make brass from 243 WSSM...

Anybody have a lead on true 25 WSSM brass or ammo? Not opposed to forming cases, have done it on other stuff, just prefer authentic innit can be had.

The WSSM cases were, at the time of their introduction, basically DOA.

One of my coyote buddies had the 223, he thought he had the Hammer of Thor for coyote killing.

No matter how much we tried (powders, bullets, primers), we could never get that thing to group.

He eventually sold it and went back to his 22-250.

Nonetheless, good luck!

With todays components it might be worth a second look. No idea on where to get brass.

I had a buddy that shot the .25 WSSM and .223 WSSM. He was a tightwad and got them on closeout. I was tasked with developing loads for them. Neither ever shot well, so I can say my experience mirrored Anchorite's.

I picked mine up 2nd hand pretty cheap, so I'm not out much if it's a bust. But I love 25 cals, and am willing to tinker with it a bit.

I know hardly nothing about them. Is there something fundamentally wrong about the cartridge why folks struggle with it? Many of the shorts do really well, kind of surprised...
