25 wssm info

Hay guys new here. Just got a 25wssm win mod 70 cyote and was woundering if this is a good cartrige for varmits and deer how far I will be Abel to shot with it and if it's acuret can't find very much info or ammo so I'm just starting to load with it thanks for your time chris

I got one when Gander Mtn closed them out. I paid less for it then any other rifle I own. I'm shooting 100g Sierra Game Kings and get 1/2 to 3/4" groups at 100 yards. Ok for a hunting rifle with hunting bullets. I've only shot Surplus 4895 and got 3250 fps with it. Don't remember the load without looking it up. It's the same velocity I get with my Remington Sendero 25-06. Only with 1/3 less powder. I like the rifle a lot. I've got the trigger set to 2 lb and a 6.5X24 scope. We're cutting our hay field next week and I'll find out how it works on groundhogs as soon as I can see 'em.
