There’s a choice on the primer size between those two also, I guess the LRP 308 case might have some advantage in colder climates.25x47 or 25-08. Would one be more inherently accurate than the other? I'm waiting on so components to build a .25 but not sure which way to go.
That is the question I sought the answer for before I started my project. Those two cases were the two I was choosing between. I wanted small rifle primers. I’m in Fl. Cold weather is not a problem for me usually. I also wanted a case with proven accuracy. Both fit the bill. I’m glad I went with the 308 case. I’ve got another 25 cal, 7.5 twist barrel on the way and I’m gonna make another one to see if it’s a fluke or if this cartridge is really repeatably accurate. Just trying to make up my mind if the next one is going to be on my last spare 40x action or if I’m going to bite the bullet and buy a Kauger.25x47 or 25-08. Would one be more inherently accurate than the other? I'm waiting on components to build a .25 but not sure which way to go.
On a case the size of the 47 I don't think you will have any problems in colder climate, I have never seen any. There’s a choice on the primer size between those two also, I guess the LRP 308 case might have some advantage in colder climates.
