Low demand as noted above, plus it would require a custom barrel or gun. VLDs are long for their weight so the standard 1:10" twist probably won't stabilize a hypothetical 129gr VLD.

Exactly! Look what happened with the Black Jack stuff. Plenty of barrel makers are offering barrels and they can't keep those on shelf. I think Berger is missing out on an opportunity but they will probably design 10 more 30 cal bullets and 5 more 7mm bullets for an even more niche crowd before they ever design one more 25 cal.

I'm not a part of Berger's inner circle so no I don't know of any plans to produce a .25 cal. 129 grain bullet. But who knows for sure?

Just in case though, Black Jack Bullets does make a 131 grain VLD which is a terrific bullet to shoot!

Sierra makes the 131 BlackJack as a contractor. BlackJack the company did all the design work and sells the bullets.

Matrix, under the newest ownership, does not make a heavy for caliber 257 bullet any more. If fact they do not list any .257 bullets.

Hey, i included myself in the 20 people.
Stevens 200 rebarreled with a 24" E.R. Shaw in 250 Savage.
I'm one of the few people i can think of using the 115gr Berger VLD in the 250 Savage.
Ruger 77 MKII in 257 Roberts.
Glad we are adding people to the list though!
