25-284 load data

Hi,
I have a varminter chambered in 25-284, with 24" 1-10" tube and would like to shoot the 85g Nosler B-tips. I've tried load development with RL19 and RL22, Lapua brass with Win LR primer but the gun won't group like it should, I'm getting .75" at best. The gun is build by a reputable custom shop and all is checked out.
Any recipes or load recommendation?

Deeply appreciated,

Buzzbee

Try H4350 or N550 and CCI large rifle primers. We've seen some evidence the CCIs shoot a little tighter.

Also, have you experimented with seating depths--both in the lands and .015-.020" jumped?

I've always seated the bullet touching the lands, I get good results in other calibers. I thought about 4350 at one time but I think the load capacity is only 75% even at max, but I
certaintly will give these 2 and CCI a try. thanks

Ahh the 25/284, it's one of my favorite 25's.....
I use F210M primers and H-4350 along with a 100 gr Nosler BT out of my Lilja barrel.
1/2MOA @ 300 yards consistantly.
The 85BT didnt even come close to that....

Is case capacity similar to a .25-06? H-4350 has worked out real well for me in the .25-06 with a 100 grain Barnes TSX, or the 100 grain Sierra SPBT. Guy
