245 LRHT v 245 EOL Hunter

Anybody got hands on direct comparison of these two bullets, solely in terms of ballistics (not terminal, just target use) ?
Running the LRHT from a 32" 8.5 twist 300prc, but have been offered 1k of the EOL at a good price, so would be interested to know if they shoot the same.

The bullets have the exact same exterior dimensions, I believe the EOL has a thinner jacket though. As far as ballistics the 245 LRHT is superior and has a higher G7 bc by .020. .

The only thing I would add to what Mike says is OAL. Berger advertises the 245 EOL as 1.775, but I have measured a few boxes and get OAL lengths of 1.730 to 1.765. The OAL of the LRHT is far more consistent and measures close to advertised. I have shot both and cant see any difference on steel at distance, but have stuck with the LRHT for ELR due to the higher BC and more consistent length.

Thanks for this. I'll likely do the same and stick with the LRHT, as I only use this gun for steel, primarily 1000m and out.

The EOL has a larger meplat, hence the lower BC.

I run the LRHT, rifle was chambered for it, but I was offered 1100 of the EOL and was weighing up if they'd be worth it for practice.

I can't see why they wouldn't be.
