I own one but haven't played with it much, give Nomad47 a P.M here on accurate shooter he has quite a bit of experience with them and he is a real nice guy and I know he would jump at the chance to help you. He spends a lot of time on the wssmzone forum under the username of CamoWildcat there are a lot of guy's on there running the 243wssm.

Thanks, Wayne. I appreciate the kind words.

Performance wise, it can push a 55 grain bullet over 4000 fps. I'm shooting 105s in a 30" 8 twist barrel at 3250 fps. To get it to Minute Of Deer or Minute Of Groundhog accuracy doesn't require any special reloading skills. But to be accurate at 1000 yards does require some work due to the thick necks on the brass.
I have two. Both bolt actions (BTW, the wssm case is very popular with the AR crowd). One of my two has the original 22" factory chrome lined barrel and I have 58s, 75, and 95s all loaded for it. Its good for anything from prairie dogs to whitetails.

Have an AR15 chambered in .243 wssm. Great gun shot everything from prairie dogs to antelope. First barrel lasted about 1800 rnds.

Have a gunsmith friend who builds them. He said to go with a chrome lined barrel if possible. A bit longer barrel life.
