243Win using H4350 and 107 SMK....Load advice Needed

I have been developing a load for my friends 243win with H4350, 107 SMKs and CCI200 primers. Brass is Remington from previous factory loads. I started around 38 grains and I am finding a node around 41.3 grains. This is pretty hot from what the books are saying. I'm not seeing any indications in the primers. 41.3 was the hottest I went. The gun has a 9.25 twist which I know is borderline for stabilizing the 107 smk. It appears the node might be right at 41.3 or just a smidgen past.

I'm wanting to go maybe as far as 41.6. I would like to know if anyone out there is using this bullet/powder combination and what kind of upper end of powder have you have had success with.

Thanks,
Don

Since your using 107's with a 9.25-twist, I suggest to go after more velocity, from slower powders, to aid in stability, hence accuracy. Powders I'd suggest are: RL22, RL23, RL26, Retumbo, H1000. Plus you would get more case fill (higher load density) instead of the loose powder columns that your at with H4350.
Just my 2-Cents

Thanks for the powder advice. My buddy has H4350 to use. If the bullet seems to have promise, the next powder buy would be different .

I still welcome advice about H4350 and 107smks.

42.0 to 42.5 gr. H4350 with 105 berger, Amax or HPBT hits the spot for Me and a couple of friends. Win brass . In the .10's

Agree with what has been said here, for 107s, a slower powder is likely better suited. If he wants to use H4350, it works really well with 95gr bullets. I load 95gr VLDs with 39.5gr H4350 for a 10" twist. He might be able to work up to a little heavier charge with his brass, the lot of PPU I'm using has had needed to be backed off of max consistently compared to my other brass. Has worked well in temps as low as 40 degrees, should work decently for Rem's twist rate.

Ok, if you feel like a trade out, then use the H4350 with 105g Hornady BTHP, and I shoot 41.5g of H...play with primer choices...look for night and day differences. Expect tiny groups.

Don, I don't know if 75fps more will help with the 107's when the weather turns real cold.
