243 WSSM build

I am new to rifles builds and have a few questions about this new build. I have a Savage 6BR that I built and fairly satisfied with what I accomplished with the parts and pieces I started with. I now what to convert it to a 243 WSSM. I will be re-barreling the gun and buying a complete magnum bolt so I can swap back and forth. The only thing holding me back is what I’ve read about feeding WSSM rounds from the mag into the chamber. Has anyone had this issue? If so is there a different magazine or something to order that will solve the problem?

Brass is really hard to get. It also isnt very good brass. I would think of a better cartridge. I built one and would never do another. My brass was brand new and some would fit in shellholder loose, some were snug and some you couldn't push in with both thumbs. Just my opinion. Matt

Thanks Matt. The more I read the more I tend to agree.

There are lots of options out there that will give you plenty more velocity if that's all your after. 6XC, 6x47L and 6Creed are all viable options with high quality brass readily available and shouldn't give you any feeding issues or require a new bolt.
