I have been loading 300win mag using CCI 250 primers, I am about to start loading for 243 win, can I use the 250 primers in the 243? would it be dangerous?

I have had NO problems getting .2-.3 tenths, 3 shot group accuracy, out of the standard, CCI 200's, using IMR 4350 or, N-160, in a factory stock Tikka .243 W/ 80 Sierra Blitz's #1515 or, 87 grain V Maxes, in my .243 win. If you "need" to use up the Mag Primers start at,.. a couple of grains UNDER as noted above.
I use F-215's and some WLR Mag's, in my 270 WSM, but never, in standard Cart's.
CCI 200's and Federal F210's, are pretty highly "Rated" Primers ! Not sure if, the Match/ BR Primer's "buy" you much extra accuracy, unless shooting them in a $5,000.00+ Match Rifle, as I could never, "see" the difference, in my Fact stock or, semi customs.

I can't answer your specific question on magnum primers since I don't use them in any of my 243's. I will offer that I've had my best results with Federal 210 standard primers with IMR 4350, IMR 4064, and H4895* (*bullets 80 grain and under) in the 243.
I use to use Federal 210 match primers but was unable to get them so I tried the standard large rifle Federal 210 primers. I was pleasantly surprised to find no difference in group size plus the standard primers are cheaper.

I use them in my .243 with H1000. 5 shot 1/2 MOA accuracy at 100 yards. Not the best, but good enough for banging steel for me.

On occasion I use CCI 250's or CCI 34's in my .243. I do this in real cold days when temps are under 20 F. I load 87 Vmax's with 4000 MR. The CCI 34 is a recommended primer for 7.62X51 (.308) that might be used anywhere and 250's might be similar. In any event, things work out just fine with no bad stuff and great accuracy. Some time ago a study was done on measuring primer blast waves using a transducer and the 250's were somewhat more frisky than 200's.

This link provides actual measurements. The CCI 200's were measured at 371.4 psi, the CCI 250's at 520.3 psi. No info on the CCI 34's. I bought a large amount of these a few years ago at a LGS that were not selling.

You can use ANY Large Rifle primer in the 243win, Magnum or standard. Work up the loads accordingly.
If you have a 243win load that's at MAX and you want to change primers, I would back it off a little and re-test with new primers. Otherwise there is no problem using magnum primers. That goes for every cartridge.

Has anyone tried the newer Peterson SRM (small primer pocket) brass and small primers with their .243W?

FWIW, I've used magnum primers with good effect with ball powders in everything from .223 to .243AI. I don't use them with stick powders but that's because they're not necessary. With BL-C(2) and light bullets the hotter primer cut my SD's.
I don't think a SRP is sufficient to light off the size of powder charge in a .243W. David Tubb did a little testing that seemed to demonstrate this too. Above, as I recall, 35 grains of powder he saw sub-optimal performance with SRP's.

Yes we tried it ! They worked well with Vitha N 165 (single base) and my friend was shooting a heavy load of Swiss powder RS 70 and a Scenar
105 L at 3330 f/s ! The accuracy was not bad ,well under 1/2 Moa (10 rounds) at 300m . We are using for both powder CCI 450 mag .Having said
that, the accuracy with Lapua brass is better but this is only do at more experiments.
