.243 Loads

I have a Broughton-barreled,8-twist, 22", #6 contour) .243 Winchester. Using Lapua prepped brass, Fed 210M's and 107gr Sierra MK's, what charge weights would you recommend using H4350 and H4831SC. Any suggestions on seating depth? So far, I've tried .015 off of the lands with relatively poor results.

Thanks.
Matt

My best loads for my 1:8 barrel on my Winchester Varmint have been with IMR7828 with the 107SMK just into the rifling by ~0.005. For me the groups have been 0.5 down to the low 0.2's, some days I am good and most days I am worse.

47 to 48 gr H1000 is a big favorite for many 243 Win shooters, including myself) with the 107 Sierras - very good velocity with pressure very under control. 4350 is a bit on the fast side, although it shoots well, I have found it very hard on barrels. I have not seen many use 4831 with the 243 Win with 107 Sierras, and I don't know why.

Will be collecting my 1 in 8 twist 243 barrel at the weekend and was looking for Loads using vihtavuori n160 with Lapua 105 molly scenars, has anyone info on loadings for 600 to 1k with thease components all the best paul T.

Heard about posible reduced barrel wear by using very slow powders like H1000 with heavy bullets in a 243, is there any test results of this, regards paul.

Do a search for posts by joesr regarding his 6mmCM cartridge.
