243. break action rossi

I'm making my break action Rossi into my deer hunter this year. I've never shot one with it yet so advice on ammo would be grand. I need to know what brands to trust on this caliber and what grain would be better suited for hunting large game.

Find a load (if you don't reload) that uses the Barnes 80 gr TTSX bullet. It is the only bullet that I've ever seen drop deer in their tracks every time. I've seen them shot with about every cup & core bullet made & have had to try & track them without any significant amount of blood. Never lost one but a major pain. The all copper bullets perform period. Lights out instantly.

The Federal Hi-Shok ammo is fairly reasonable, they only make soft points but it shoots quite accurate.

Have one and using Sierra 100gr Pro Hunter with IMR4350. Haven't fine tuned it yet, but within an inch @ 100yds. The deer won't know the difference and good enough for hunting in my neck of the woods. It's a 1 in 10 twist. I will probably try the Sierra 85gr GameKing soon. Neat little rifle and I like shooting break actions and bolt actions.
