243 AI favorite powder?

Hi folks,

Another snowy day in central NY state.

Just curious what are the powders of choice for 243 Ackley Improved.

I have shot IMR 4831, H414, H335 and Varget.

I am using a 85 gr hpbt, 47.o grns of IMR 4831, Fed primer, Lapua brass. Warm load, small groups. Bullet into the lands quite hard. .268 neck.

I've been using H414 with both the 87gr. and 75gr. VMax.

I like H-4350 in the ones I play with, and a 95gr BT....

With 65 and 70gr bullets, which is what I shoot, 414 and W760 work really well.

I am running low on all of my 1lb cans. I am looking at buying a larger quantity of the "right" powder. I have used H414 with very good results in a regular 243 win. So I am comfortable with it. I have used IMR 4831 & 4350 a bit as well.

I like W760 with 70 grain NBT's really puts the hurt on yotes

Using N-160 with 87 V-max's and 90Gr. Bergers. Low ES and SD, extremely accurate at 300 meters and beyond.

Try H1000 it works great with 105gr. bergers and 107gr. smk's.

I shoot 70 NBT's 75 VMAX's with Varget and get exceptional accuracy and good velocity.

I have use 75gr V max with Vit 150,I have found this really good as its very clean burning and gives very good FPS

Just got my barrel back and have broke it in and I would have to say that RL 22 has always been a favorite of mine and its been amazing in the new 243 ackley with 87 vmax's. Did a drop chart on it at the range yesterday out to 600 on paper and its going to be a lot of fun!!!!!!!!!! I vote RL22 cant wait to try it at a 1000
