243 70 TNT 3800 FPS

Have shot that bullet out of a 6mm284 case 12 twist at that speed or little faster, it is devastating on coyotes, will lift the hair off them and throw chunks of meat all over. On prairie dogs They still cast a faint shadow on the ground, while the pieces are still falling to the ground.

Ouch....

Called in a coyote, he winded me and took off, he made his mistake on looking back at me about 140 yards away over his shoulder in some tall blue stem grass. All I could see was his rear half of him, that bullet ripped his left leg completely off his hip joint except for some skin attached, that still held it on and about 3 pieces of meat laying in front of him size of 1/4 lb chunks. They stop coyote in there there tracks and stay down on my experience.

70g TNT are very, very accurate in my 12T 243 AI, and 6 BR.

I shoot them at 3850 in the 243 AI with 48.5g of Win 760, Rem 7/08 case neck turned, and cci 250 gets the sd down in single digits.

There is a wide accuracy node with 760, from 47-50.5g in the Hart 243 AI's that I have had many of. I never got into trouble with 48.0-48.5g in 95* temps.

AA2700 is an excellent choice with the same powder charges, check the heat index on 2700, get ready for a shock.

I have NEVER full length sized a 243 AI case shooting 48-48.5g of 760 with a 250 primer in a rem case...never.

Suburbanrifeman, that is some fantastic velocity for a 243!!!

Shhhhhhh!!!!!! If everyone finds out how well the 70 TNT shoots the prices will go up!! I run them in both a 10 twist and 8 twist 6br's. Was amazed at group sizes given it is not a match bullet.

I am a fan of the TNT in 224, and it makes me hapy to hear the 243 is good too...next up, a 6mm of some sort.

In the 224 I use it in a 222. I run 23 grains of BM and it shoots pretty well from a "used up" BR barrel. Great economy bullet. Splatters PD, kills groundhogs just fine, lots cheaper than Vmax
