240 Weatherby Build

On this build I am going to use a Pac-Nor barrel finished at 26" and have chose a 1/10 twist to shoot 60g berger varmint bullets and 85gr Hornady Interbond.
So will the 1/10 be a good choice for this barrel??
Barrel is on order but still have time to change twist rate if I made mistake on twist choice.
Thanks

My 240 WBY has the 10" twist. I load the 75gr Vmax if I'm hunting varmints and the 95gr ballistic tip for deer. I use H4831 with the lighter bullets and RL22 for the 95's. Some will bitch about the belted case and others cry that they are expensive. Different strokes for different folks....
Good luck with you rifle,
Gary

If the 85 Interbond is the heaviest you will use, you might consider a 12 twist. You can check with Hornady on this to make sure, but a 6mm of this velocity should have no trouble stabilizing an 85 and the 12 twist will be closer to the proper twist for the 60 grainer.

Use an 8 twist. Why limit yourself. Greater range of projectiles to use.Same as putting a 8 twist on a 22-250. Opens up the world.
