240 WBY German made bolt

Hey guys, my name is Randy Wade. Years ago I bought my granddaughter a 240 German made Weatherby. She is now old enough to hunt. We went out to shoot it and the safety mechanism on it will not work on the action. So I need a bolt assembly with a working safety for a German made 240 Weatherby Mark 5. Any help will be highly appreciated.

I might be wrong but I believe the 6 lug Mk V bolt is interchangeable between German, Japanese and American manufactured rifles.

Great little round, I still shoot mine....

Have you taken it to a gunsmith that is familiar with Weatherbys?
I also have a West German made 240, back then the 240 was made on a full sized action and the bolt is basically the same size (other than bolt face) as on a 257, 270, 7mm. Picture of 240 bolt on the right and a 257 on the left. You may have to contact Weatherby.

Probably old oil turned to shellac inside, try soaking the entire bolt shroud in gum out over night and hose it clean with brake cleaner and re lube per owners manual.
