230gr eld-x.

I see Hornady has released a 230gr eld-x in 338 caliber. Before i order any i was looking for a bullet length to make sure my 1:10" 338 win mag will stabilize them. Thanks.

I'd almost guarantee that a 230 gr. jacketed lead core bullet will stabilize in a 1-10" twist 338 caliber. - 300 gr. Berger hybrids stabilize just fine in all my 1-10 twist 338 caliber barrels with no issues and I'm at about 50 ft. above sea-level.

Possibly Hornady's website or a call to their technical folks would be a place to get an answer on the bullets dimensions.

Bullets showed up. The box says "1:12"" so im good there. Total bullet length is 1.515". So in a standard 3.340 seating depth to allow proper feeding in most rifles there is alot of bullet in the case. The base is about .2" past the shoulder/body junction.
