NEED HORNADY DATA!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!

I'm looking for Hornady Data for the 230 Grain ELD-X out of the 338 Win Mag. Really hoping they list RL-19 data for that bullet. If anyone has a newer book or program can you please snap a picture and post it. Thanks!

I called Hornady and spoke with someone in the tech dept. They just gave me the data for the 225 bullet. The data for the the 230 won't be out till around November.

QL shows MAX for the 230 ELD-X in a 338 Win mag using RL19 as 72.5gr Again, that's what QL shows as the MAX load, so start a few grains under that and work up.

That is using standard default OAL of 3.340

FWIW, I ran up a few one-shot-per-rung ladders with the 230ELD in my 338WinMag, 24” PacNor SS, H&H length action.

H4350, Fed215, WWSuper brass, 3.480”
68gr - 2839
68.5 - 2817
69.0 - 2844
69.5 - 2857
70.0 - 2874

RL17, same
66.0 - 2787
66.5 - 2781
67.0 - 2798
67.5 - 2784
68.0 - 2860

RL23, same
68.0 - 2701
68.5 - 2689
69.0 - 2729
69.5 - 2729
70.0 - 2765

IMR4831, same
69.0 - 2699

Case expansion was most with H4350, IMR4831 next, RL17 third, and RL23 seemed mildest with none of the above appearing excessive. I probably topped out with the first two powders but had room to go higher with the RLs.

All four above ladders each grouped into ~4” at 100 yards so accuracy wasn’t there. The barrel fouls badly and isn’t particularly accurate anyway (too finely polished?)

I had the same thing with one Shilen Barrel. Since new it would copper like nothing I've ever seen before.
Then after 200 rounds it never showed any copper again.
