22PPC with 75 grain A-Max

I was hoping to get some input on good powders for this set-up. I was told that RL-15 is the "go to" powder, but I have never had great success with it. I was thinking about trying H4895 or IMR 8208 XBR.

Just in case there is any question: My rifle is set up with an 8 twist barrel and throated for the longer 22 cal bullets.

Thanks for the QL info. At what charge rates would I be getting the most efficient burn and FPS? And where would I start seeing excessive pressure?

If you have time to give mr that info for RL15, Varget, H4895, and IMR 8208 XBR I would appreciate it.

I am hoping to get my new .22 PPC with a 1 in 8 twist back in the next month or so. I plan to exclusively shoot the 75 A-Maxes in it and was thinking Varget or the IMR 8208 XBR, thanks for the recommendation for R-15. Mine will have a 22 inch barrel and I will be using the chronograph as I workup loads.

Appreciate any input in the meantime.

RL15 was the best choice in my .22PPC with 80's, H4895 was not as good.

I sold the rifle recently and have lots of dies and brass for sale if anyone is interested. Just send me an email if so.

German, Thanks for the post... maybe a bushing neck die, but I have F/L and match seating from prior years.

Still have 400 virgin cases of the original Sako .220 Russian first run brass that once was a coveted item.
