.22LR revolver

Outrageous but true"
My older son has incredible eye hand coordination. When he was about 11 and had been shooting for a couple of years, I took him out for a day at the dump. One of the pistols I took was a S&W Model 17 that I think had had a fantastic action job performed. Not sure because I had bought it used from a LGS. Anyway, I had shot a Coke can which was laying about 30 yds away. My son picked up the freshly loaded 17 and shot the can sending it flying up in the air. His next 5 shots all hit that flying can. I was amazed at what I had just seen because I certainly couldn't duplicate that feat myself.
To this day he is still a firearm enthusiast and holds an FFL. HE owns a gun store in Cave Creek, AZ.

I don't think that Colt was ever really serious about .22 revolvers. They never offered a TT or TH option and allowed S&W to dominate that segment of the market. Agreed that the Cobra had a pretty smooth action, but even so it wasn't on par with the S&W Model 17. JMHO~!!

Most of the time the most accurate hand guns are not even discussed. So why are you buying one in the first place? For instance, how often do you read about the Hi-Standard semi-autos~: Do you want accuracy? The Hi-Standard Citation will out shoot a Colt Match Target any day all day and cost about 1/2 the going price of the Colt. I know it's not a revolver so My apologies to all who find this comment out of place~!
