22BRX/dasher and 90gr VLD's

Im looking at doing up a pretty basic switch barrel rig that can be a bit more competitive in the wind for out to 600yds. I would like to stay with the 22cal if possible.

Can anyone tell me what the 90gr VLD's or SMK's will give up in the wind as oposed to a 6BR with 107SMK's? As far as im aware it all relates to bullet BC and driving the 90's at around 3000fps, im sure it could buck the wind alot better than my 69gr 10 twist setup at the moment.

The 90 gr bullets should provide the same aprox. performance as the 6BR.

Brad, if you end up getting a 7' twist barrel, I know I have approx 250 x 90gn JLK bullets hidden away somewhere, I will send them if you get a suitable tube. I will point them up in my Widden die before I send them if I can find them.

Will get a box of the berger 90grVLD's and sierra MK's to try out.

I,m sure the laws for exporting bullets from the East Coast of OZ to the west coast of OZ are not too bad. Just in case I will put some trinkets and beads in the package to bribe the border gaurds on the WA side.

Ah well if your in gods country then mate and you dont need them, I will grab em if thats ok. Dont worry about pointing them, I dont have a pointing die here and i wont ever worry about one.

How did you get the JLK's into australia in the first place? B0709A? or is there a JLK importer here? Parabellum do berger and highland do sierra, thats about all the match bullets i know of here.

I got these in years ago by B709A, before they were handled by the current maker. JLK used to be able to send bullets to OZ, but not the new makers. These will be some other the only ones here.What else do you want, 100 gn or maybe 105 gn VLDs? I will see what I can dig up.

Just the 90gr models mate, I doubt if it will stabilise the 100 gr bullets.

Let me know what you want for them. Its a shame really- if the rifle likes them I wont be able to get any more.
