What's the approximant neck dia when neck down a Lapua 6BR brass to 22BR? Like to find a turn neck dimension that work well, I see .252, .254 and .257 are popular, is one better than the other ? Thanks in advance,

My "no neck turn" 22BR reamer has a .254 ND. Set up for Lapua brass.

The Pacific reamer used on my .22BR is set up with a .252"NK, and the last two batches of Lapua brass have both loaded to .250" OD without any neck turning. The last two shipments that we have received, here at Sinclair, have been very consistent at .013" wall thickness.

My reamer is for .252", which takes a very light turn-cut and a diameter of .250" with a Fowler bullet.

I had a .254" neck chameberd by Mike Bryant that did not require neck turning.

I use a .254 also for unturned Lapua. Loaded rounds measure at .251.
