I'm putting together a 22BR and didn't want to buy 22BR dies when I already have 6BR stuff.
The hole in Redding's 6mm competition seater stem is too shallow by about 1/16-1/8in for long ogive (90gr VLD) 22 cal bullets. Redding recommended using hot glue to for a "shim", but I found another solution.
Redding seater stems are hardened, so you need a carbide tipped drill bit to drill the hole deeper. WW Grainger carries a DeWalt carbide tipped .125in bit. This is as small as they make, but it's perfect for this application. It is also narrow enough to drill their 22cal stem if you desire. A drop of Tap Magic lube helps. Make the hole about 3/16in deeper and it works perfectly.
Adjust the 6BR competition seater down about two turns to compensate for the difference in ogive/stem contact.
The $6 drill bit saved the cost of a $100 22BR sleeve.
