.22BR 8 twist coming back to life!

Sold my switch barrel 6BR/.22BR in 6BR configuration last year. So my favorite .22BR barrel was homeless! Found out that I had all the components except for a Rem receiver laying around in the shop. Found a new receiver for $185.00. So the .22BR is coming back to life! Opened up a .223 bolt, installed a Mini-M16, fluted bolt, and getting ready to sleeve the bolt. Fun stuff!

Took the .22Br out for the first test firing today. Fired a few to check head space. Within .001 of other action, that will work. Fired 3 from the bi-pod, laying in the dirt, with a rear bag. I believe that will work just fine!! I literally can't shoot any better than this.

Yes on the coyotes. I also have a 12"x12" plate set up across the street in the neighbors pasture. 750 yds to the plate. There is always a breeze across the pasture so it will be fun drifting them in!! Thanks for asking.

I bought a receiver only and am in the process of making a gun from all my spares. i assume you got the receiver before Remington went belly up, I think it would be tough to find one that cheap now???

I found the receiver about 6 months ago. They just happened to be on sale so I grabbed one. A great deal.

I found an ultra mag receiver in stainless(no bolt) that looked like a piece of jewelry and got it from one of the online guys for $220.

Did a little coating and polishing on the bolt. Looks a little better now!
