Hornady manual list Hodgdon Leverevolution obtaining the highest velocity, burn rate even with Power Pro 2000 . Has anyone tried LV in their Valkyrie ?

Haven't tried Lever in a Valkyrie, but use it almost exclusively in the 6.5 Grendel, both bolt and AR platforms. It does great, especially with the heavier, 120 to 130 class bullets in the Grendel, higher speeds and good accuracy. In the bolt gun, a 26 inch 8 twist Douglas barreled Savage, it'll run the 130 Berger AR hybrid to a touch over 2600fps with no pressure issues. The AR loads are a bit lighter, 2490 to 2500 with the 130's.

I know several guys that use Lever in heavy bullet .223 loads with good success, also.

I have Leverevolution but haven't tried it in 224 Valkyrie...I use RL-17, and my chronographed velocities are faster than Leverevolution...according to the manuals..but it means nothing until ya shoot it.
Look at Hodgdons Annual Manual and Hornadys 11th...you will find much different answers as to which powder is faster....DEPENDING ON BULLET WEIGHT.. there are 3 to 4 powders According to Hodgdon faster than Leverevolution, and of coarse maximum powder charges are different. So to really find out we have to work up loads and shoot it. Iwas looking at 95gr and 6.5 Staball as a possible substitute for heavy bullets over RL17 but have not tried it ...yet. Too many other projects with 6 twist and 3 twist barrel experimentation for now.
