224 Valkyrie 53 vmax

I know the 224 Val was designed for shooting heavies. However, the AR I'm looking at getting is cheaper chambered in 224 Val vs 223. My intent is for a designated night setup for coyotes so I'm wanting to run the lighter bullets. I also have my 6.5x47 if i wanna shoot something heavier.

So... Has anybody tried loading the 53 vmax in a 224 Val? What were your results? Speed? Accuracy? Barrel length & twist?

Wanna dig into this some before i pull the trigger on one or the other.

I have been working with a AR with 20 inch 1/7 twist barrel and a bolt action 18 inch 1/7 twist barrel. Both shooting well, with CFE223 ( area of 29 grains) and the 55 grain sp put out by Midsouth Shooters in the Varmint nightmare bullet. Chrono showing in the area of 3350fps, with good accuracy. Nice shooting cartridge. Have killed some rock chucks and called coyotes so far with both rifles. Think you will enjoy working with the Valkyrie. It does have a place in our fun/shooting.

29 gr is like 108 percent fill at 2.260" I do around 27.5gr and its pretty full. Nice thing about CFE 223 has its self limiting you cant get enough in the case to get the pressure too high.
