223/VitaVori N133 Sugestions

Any one used N133 for a 55gr vmax lapua brass.Any load input would be great.Have worked up loads with varget but was told N133 works great?

24.3 grains VVN133, WSR primer, LC brass, 55 VMax at magazine length, light crimp with Lee factory crimp die, all done on a Dillon 550B - 0.5" 5 shot groups or better @100 in my Rock River AR15 with the 24" heavy barrel. About 3200-3300 FPS IIRC. The prairie dogs hate this load.

I shoot IMI brass with 7 1/2 or CCI 450,CCI-br-4). 26.3g gets me 3630 out of my 23" hart barrel. IF I were you, I'd start off at 25.5g with the 50's and go up from there. Military brass will take less powder for sure.

I shoot n135 with the 55's and get 3500+.

One thing that is very particular about both the 133 and 135 is that they like a case full of powder. I use the MTM powder funnel that has a 5" drop tube. The accuracy with speed using these two powders with the 50 & 55g bullet is nothing short of spectacular!

Bolt or semi-auto; that makes a big difference in what is "safe". An AR-15 won't handle the pressures or the variety of power burn rates that a bolt rifle will.

Rifle is a xp100 bolt action single shot with custom small diam. barrel with no markings.Lapua brass,Fed. match primers.Thanks for the advice.
