.223 Mag Problems

I am running PTG Stealth bottom metal and AI and Accurate Mag magazines. The problem I have is that the magazine sits too low for the bolt to consistently pick up the cartridges. I spoke to Accurate Mag and was told my latch was too short and they suggested i call PTG. Called PTG and was told they did not have a longer latch that could be fitted. I swapped out the Stealth bottom metal with Badger M5 and have the same issue. Marty Bordsen (sp?) From Badger ordnance is shipping 2 longer latches for me to fit.

Anyone have personal experience in this area? If so, how did you resolve it?

Did you use the pillars that are provided with the PT&G kit, if not that could be part of the problem.

after about the same trouble bought a magpul 700 hunter stock and mag kit and .223 mags from brownells works great with no hassle.

I had a problem where the mag was too high. Take a little off the latch and that solved the problem. Go slow it doesn't take much.
