I was given a pound of each of the mentioned powder's and i am looking for any load's you guy's might have. Again it is 8208 and N133, any load data will be greatly appreciated. Almost forgot, i am shooting a savage predator with a 1 in 9" twist barrel.

What weight and brand bullet are you planning to use?

N133 works great in my .223s with 52/53/55 grain Sierra and Nosler bullets, but didn't work that well with 69 grain bullets. You can get Sierra load data off the .223 page here on this website. The VV website also has a link to their load data. Since every rifle is different I won't post my loads, but I will say with this powder higher velocity was more accurate.

I've never used 8208 but it should be similar to N133 results. Hodgedon has load data on their website.

25.5gr 8208, lapua brass, cci450 primer and 50gr nosler BT's in a 1:8 krieger throated for 80gr SMK's. Same hole all day long and very explosive on furry things. Almost max load so work up from minimum.

Depending on your intended use, I would recommend that you give the 53 V-Max serious consideration. They shoot great in my 1:10 barrels with those powders. Velocity is good & you can't beat the BC of those bullets in that weight range - good accuracy & velocity + BC = :)

Go to Hodgdon powders website for reloading info for IMR-8028 XBR. 8028XBR is an impressive powder in small calibers like the 204, 222, 223 and 22-250. I've shot some impressive groups in my 223's with that powder. I'm immensely impressed with it. A combination of that powder and Berger bullets is a marriage made in heaven.

Try working up from 22.5gn - 24gn of 8208 with a 69gn - 73gn bullets. My little 1:9 loves this powder with a 69gn NCC and a Berger 70gn VLD.Now both loads are hot in my rifel since I worked up to the max at 24gn with the 69gn bullet and 23.5 with the 70gner.All most forgot to say that my loads are all so loaded into the lands.

So fare its been really clean and shoots from hot to cold temps for me with little to no change. Now with that said I do not shoot like most on this site but love to when I can.I'd say try Varget but haven't yet tried it with a bullet ( 69gn ) or higher. My Varget loads are for a 55gn bullet.I really think you'll be likeing what you try when testing with this powder.Even from one lot to the next its been spot on for me haven't had to adjust the load yet.

8208xbr 26 gr, 52 gr fowler, lbc varmint ar=a whole lot of very dead ghogs. 28 gr in my 223 ackley does the same with a little more splattt!
