Ive got a good load going using blc-2 and 60 g v-max.
25g blc-2 oal of 2.285 for my savage 10fp averages about 5/8" at 150yrds using LC brass and surplus primers

Benchmark or RL-10X work well in my Tikka 595 S/S 223 with a 60 VM.
I also use the plain Jane Hornady 60 grainers- the HP and the SP

and if you look at them the plane Janes listed BC's are equal or better than the V-M and they are a heap cheaper $$ too.

The ferals I shoot with either or them never notice the diff between the projectiles.

I use IMI mil cases and CCI BR primers.
I used the CCi's because they were the only SR primers I had on hand when doing the load development.

The load worked so I stuck with them.

Try 26.4g of Varget. Keep in mind this is .6g from max load suggestion by Hogdon. Start low and work up. Works good in my browining A-Bolt for shooting critters in Arizona.

Try 22.0 gr of H335 set to 2.250 OAL for 60gr Hornady V-Max 2,900 FPS and 0.9gr under max.

Would really suggest 52 gr Sierra HPBT with 25.0 gr of H-335 set to OAL 2.20 really accurate out of an AR.

Good Shooting and always be safe.
