.223 Help

Hi I have been loading for my .223 in a Rem 700 police 26" 1/9 twist.
Want to shoot F/M class mostly 300 & 500 and ocassional longer.
Only tried Varget with 75gr HpBT Match Hornadys and 75gr A-max,using Federal Match Gold primers, with Lapua Brass, seating .1000 of lans. groups are just okay nothing great best .370 to 3/4 " going alway up to max. got some Berger 75gr on the way hard to find them in Canada. Thinking of trying Reloader 15 powder?
any suggestions would be very nice.

I don't think your barrel has a fast enough twist for 75 g bullets.
There is a twist rate calculator on the Berger website, I plugged in there 75 g bullet and it recommends 7-3/4 :1 minimum twist rate

I have good luck with varget and 73gr eld-m. Due to things latley i have not gone passed 300 yards, but had a 1 inch group at 300 yards. During these times i cut back on shooting since supplies are hard to come by.
