223 dies

i am interested in a new set of dies where i can control neck tension a more and something with a micromiter top seater what would you suggest for quality and value

secondly what is a small base die and what is the difference between that and a normal 223 dies

Thanks

I use Redding neck bushing competition dies and believe them to be the best for use in a threaded reloading press.

Normal full length sizing dies do not size the brass back to factory new specifications - Small base dies do. The use of "normal" full length siziong dies keeps working of the brass to a minimum and works very well on factory bolt action guns and most semi-automtatics.

Most folks only use small abse FL sizing dies when reloading for semi-automatics with range pick-up brass.
