223 Bob Sled Project

Mine always just fell- out holding the mag button…????
I’m no machinist either ….

I see your point.
There are some tolerances in play with M5 bottom metals. The Bob Sled (at least the ones I have) is usually on the plus side and fits rather snugly. Most of my rifles won't let them drop free.

This is also very light. Much lighter than a solid aluminum block

Brad did you make it so the case head sits a touch lower than the bullet end of the cartridge? It appears you have.
That helps feeding IMHO. My 308/6.5 AI Bob Sled has that but my older 223 for the XTC game the slot has no drop angle.
Nice work !

Definitely sits so it pops a wheelie up the ramp.

I mean this sucker goes STRAIGHT into the dead center of that chamber. I went WHOA when I put the first round in. The old one I had with the hand made divot was good, but this version is even better.
