223 and H322

Anyone having any luck with the H322 and 69 gr SMK
IN THE 223 WITH A 1 IN 9 TWIST ? Sorry about the caps.

I would say too fast unless your shooting a 10" barrel. JMHO

I agree in theory it is too fast but it is what my Savage 1:9 twist LRPV rifle liked the best with 69 grain bullets. Worked better than Varget for sure. I think I also tried N135 as well. Some times what works doesn't make sense. It was one of the last powders I tried because it was suppose to be too fast of a powder. Go figure.

Shot H-322 with 69gr SMK's for years in my AR match rifle. Also used VV-135. These two powders produced the smallest groups at 100yds. Shot some great scores in NRA high power matches at 200, 300, 600 yds with them. True, they are a little fast for this bullet but they work great in my rifle.

I've Had good luck with 26gr. (& a few tenth's) with the 65gr Sierra and 69gr. in my Savage 1in9!

I have used h322 in the ,223 rem with real good results.I used the hornady 68 grain match bullets though. One of the best powders is in my opinion is BLC_2 or H335 if you aren't shooting in high temps . I cant list all the powders because there are to many like CF223,8208 etc.

FUNNY YOU MENTIONED THAT COMBO. THATS EXACTLY WHAT I LOAD- 65 GR SIERRA BT SPITZER BEHIND 25.5 GR OF H-322 OUT OF MY ROCK RIVER ARMS A.T.H. PRODUCES 3/4 IN GROUPS AT 300 YDS AND .2 AT 100 YDS LITERALLY ALMOST IN THE SAME HOLE. ITS MY DEER HUNTING LOAD ALSO
I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A BIG BORE 30 CAL KINDA GUY AND MY LIGHT GUN 1000YD IBS IS IN 6.5 CREEDMOOR WHICH SHOOTS SUB 5 IN GROUPS AT 1000 BUT THIS LITTLE 223 IS SO ACCURATE AND FUN TO SHOOT I JUST CANT PUT IT DOWN.

I'm not in the .2s like swamp thing but here's 30 shots averaging .350 w bergers and 322 out of a .223 min spec 8 twist kreiger bolt. You will do better shooting groups if you put all your matchkings in the trash!

Get this, 22.3 grains of H322 works great in my 5.56 NM AR, Lake City Brass. Works with either 69gr sierra or 68gr Hornady.

Disclaimer: This load is safe in my rifle but you should work up to it in yours...
