.223 AICS Mags

Hey guys,

Looking for a .223 AICS poly mag to try to get my .22,6 BR, 6 Dashers to feed from the mag. Where is your favorite place to purchase from. Thanks in advance. :)

Regards, Paul

Not to highjack the thread but Phil can you give me the OAL of a 223 round that the magazine will hold without binding in the Magazine. Tony

I bought a couple from euro optic. It was a few years ago, I can't remember the price but it was competitive with everywhere else.

This is where I bought a couple not long ago.

Tony,

I was out all day yesterday, sorry bout that.

The link above to Triad Tac. says 2.55" OAL.

I`d have to measure mine to confirm.

Phil.

Id recommend not messing with the AI 223 polymer mags. The newest batches they are putting out are complete trash. The feed lips spread apart and won't hold the rounds in. Me and my buddies went through many replacements last year and they all had the same problem. I think I had 8 replacements myself. I switched to the metal Accurate mags with the plastic inserts and the run like a dream. Just take a round file and make more room if you need it for longer rounds just takes a minute. AI supposedly had some new metal 15 round 223 mags at SHOT this year so maybe that will be the answer, but the latest polymers are crap.

I had much better luck adding a half inch spacer to the front of an aics 308 mag than fiddling with the 223 polymer ones. The spacer needs to be high enough to stop the four bottom rounds from moving forward and needs a bevel ground up toward the feed ramp.

The nice thing about steel is that you get more than one attempt to get it right.
