223 ai in an AR?

Is this possible/been tried? Seems like it would be slick for heavy bullets, 77&80smk. Is the increased pressure too much for the lugs? Would the sharp shoulder be tore up during chambering? Can straightened body not feed? Sounds like a neat project but never heard of anyone doing it. Whats the group here think about it?

Works like a charm, have no problem feeding AI cartridges or regular .223.
Pressure limitations are still the same, but with more gas, you get more velocity. Use a notch slower powder than normally used with a .223. I have used RE-17 behind 80 and 90 gr bullets with excellent results. SRM primers.
You need a longer barrel to realize the potential, 16-22 inches don't work well, need 27-29 inch.
