223 Ackley in my Dillion 550.

I am home more and have a few 223 Ackley brass...... Any loads for a 1in 7 twist 24inch Ackley? Also I am going to load it on my Dillion 550 loader so ball powder is what I prefer. I am wanting to shoot 70-90 grain bullets.

In my 223AI, since I have a decent amount of AA2460, that’s what I use, it may not be the most popular ball powder out there, but I love it, it meters very well.

Using 69 SMK, jump 20 thousand, start at 23 grains work up to 25 grains. 25 grains was very accurate in my rifle. I was using Wolf primers, but at the starting load any standard primer should work. Work up carefully from there.

Lots of powders to choose that meet your criteria. XBR 8208, H332, H335, TAC, CFE 223
SMK 69gr are gateway bullets ...easy to load, shoot well in every rifle, and moderately priced. Berger makes some fantastic bullets in the +80gr class for 223. Your twist is fast enough to shoot the heavies. You'll need to experiment with different bullets to determine what bullets fit your chamber without there being a major issue of compressed loads..

I'm loading 75 amax over a charge of Leverevolution powder, in my Dillon 550. It meters great, and performs very well in the .223 AI.

69 SMKs and 27ish gr CFE works real good for me Work up though of course.
