.223 77 he load inconsistency

On a 10 string for chronograph data the spread was +/- 30 fps for both. The rl15 runs at about 2530fps and the n140 is about the same.
Is that really a total of 60fps spread? You could probably lower that by being more careful with the charging.
If it's only a 30fps spread, I'd call it good and go shoot. That'll clean the targets out to 600 easily.
 
Crimp, no crimp, neck tension? Haven't shot many 77's, but with the 69's in my rifle I had the best performance turning down the expander ball about.001 and only taper crimping enough to snug the lip of the neck in for smooth feeding. If you are not shooting a cannalure bullet, a roll crimp can damage your bullet, and even a heavy taper crimp on a smooth bullet can disfigure the bearing surface.
