I’m setting up a savage with a dual port action, lrpv 7 twist barrel and a benchrest stock for shooting 200/300 factory class varmint for score matches and possible an occasional ibs factory match.

So far I am at Lapua Brass, cci 450s, Whidden click adjust die and Redding micro seater.

What bullet and loads would be recommended for there matches and distances. Don’t need to shoot more than 300.

I got it used and the guy I got it from said started load work with 73g Berger’s, I thought about those, 70g Nosler RDF or maybe 75g amax

Slightly different, but i shoot a Tikka T3 with a 1/8t, used 77 Nosler CC with Varget and cci 450's, shot great at 300 for a factory, ended up using 75gr Amax worked better, couldn't get any of the 73 Bergers over here

Cory, don’t over look Berger’s 80 & 82 gr. for what you are settling it up for.
Very good at two & three hundred yards.
