222 small base die?

Should be able to use a .223 SB die the hit it again with the 222 STD FL die the .223 SB will do the body sizing for you.. Little extra effort but it should work

If you can find a full length sizing die that has the base diameter you need then just cut the top off the die just above the case neck length. Then drill or grind out the neck diameter of the die to .010 larger than the diameter of a fired case from your rifle and you have a small base body die.

Why does a std FL die not work? A std FL 223 die could be cut off to the point that the shoulder on the 222 can be touched and the body taper should be such that it will size .001 or.002 smaller at the base. your barrel chamber could be polished out .001 to.003 so the std 222 FL die would be sizing more. Or i'm sure that Redding will do it as a custom, the neck could also be opened up so the expander would not have much to drag on.

It is all about the dimention of the die base internal diameter. If the one you have is not tight enough then it is never going to size down the case enough to get a good easy fit. So in this situation you need a small base die. Just any Full length die will not do you have to find a standard die with extra tight dimentions and then you can use it as a FL die or convert it to a body die . Which has other advantages over normal FL sizing . The other option is get a custom small base die made or have your chamber eased with a reamer so that cases sized in standard dies fit.
