222 RMAI

Are there any .222 RMAI shooters out there? Many years ago, Mike Bellm cured my ailing 223 14" TC Contender bbl by rechambering it to the .222 RMAI. THE ACCURACY, CONSISTENCY, AND PERFORMANCE gains in a 14" bbl quickly makes a believer out of you.
Are there any fans out there? What are you feeding this to, and what are your loads?

I had a 222 rem mag reamer made with a 30° shoulder pushed forward .017" ...not quite " ackleyized" . I get 3550+ fps with 52 gr custom bullets and very good accuracy. I use nosler' s 222 rem mag brass after trying Norma's 204 ruger brass.

I have a 222 RMAI barrel for a Wichita switch barrel. The other is a 20-223AI. I only shoot 40gr bullets at prairie dogs for a week or so per year. It fits in well with the rest of the arsenal. Never ran it across a chrono, but it's fast and flat.

Me again,
What is the loading data for 40-63 gr bullets in a 14" contender? I presume that ths is the max weight that a contender twist will stabilize. If shorter length pistol bbl info isn't available, the rifle data will be fine. I'll just have to use the faster burning powders that will be listed for the rifle length bbls. (If I could only find my Ackley slide ruler that I purchased from him 35 years ago!)Thanks.
