222 Remington

Shot my 222 again today , group #3 I shot 4 shots in a .053 and the 5th shot took it out to .314 best of the day . Next week I'll load only VV130 at 21 gr . and 52 gr bergers with a .006 jump .

Did you already do a seating depth test to get where you are now?

One of the classics that won a lot of metals for many shooters, including Walt Berger. I have a 1950 100% stick R722 that shoots 0.5" groups with no fine tuning.

I love my old Rem 722 222. Would shoot .5 groups with reloads. Those days are long gone but still shoots sub moa.

So far .006 junp has been the best , I want to eliminate the one shot that is out of the group .

Did some more shooting this morning . 15 shots before I setteled down and shot a couple good groups .

I had to go out and verify dope on a rifle for a friend’s hunt this morning, shot that young yote with a 222 contender (rifle) and a 50 grain Blitzking On the way out.

Nice shooting, the 222 is one fun rifle to shoot. I've tried and tried finding a better seating depth for 52 grain loads in my Krieger Panda and .006" to .008" is it's best. It's the only rifle I own that likes to be loaded off the riflings.

Mike Walker was a genius. Lived to be 102yrs old. ln the almost 75yrs since he invented the 222Rem nobody has bettered the triple deuce. My first prairie dog shoot had me using the 222. After almost 40yrs l have been unable to find anything better
