I can tell, 99.99% it is a factory barrel.I am putting my Remington 40XBR .222 up for sale. Date of manufacture I was told from Remington is 1971. It’s the heavy varmint with the longer barrel. Bore scoped it and looks like very little use. I can’t find a ding in the wood anywhere and metal finish is like new. Comes with a Lyman ALL-AMERICAN 8 X scope and a set of un-used RCBS full length due set. Gun and scope are in mint condition as far as I can tell. Asking price for all is $2000.00 shipped and insured to CONUS.
