222 Rem

I am about to launch a new project and am looking for any and all personal advise. I have decided to build a 222 remington to be primarily for informal light and heavy benchrest. I am using a Savage Target action, large shank, and a Shilen pre-fit barrel. I am about to make up a dummy round to have the barrel throated to. I was wondering what has been used in the past as far as loaded neck dia. I have always used a soft seated to the lands with min neck tension.I neck turn in two steps for my .243Ack .270 neck. I end up with a round that has min neck tension, upon firing, the brass just springs back and no resizing is required unless the brass starts to grow.
Just a new project and .222 Rem sounds like a fun round.
Thanks group for any and all input.

reloader, you're going to love the 222 Rem. It's one of the most enjoyable cartridges to load for and shoot. I remember when it first came out in 1951, I believe, and my uncle bought one of the first Rem 721 rifles that arrived in the Cincinnati area. He taught me how to reload for it and would take me groundhog hunting with him. What a hoot! Sweet memories! Enjoy!

AHH THE DUCE I LOVED THAT CASE.
MY BEST SHOOTING WAS DONE WITH ONE. IT'S STILL HARD TO BEAT AT 100 YDS IN BENCHREST.
I USED THE THINEST BRASS POSSABLE AND NECK TURNED. MY CHAMBERS WERE 246 AND I SIZED TO 244 AT THE NECKS.
224 +.010 +.O10 = 244 . NECKS TURNED TO .010
LIGHT UP WITH A GOOD PRIMER, I LIKED THE cci br 4 .
JUST MISSING THE LANDS. SOMETIMES JUMPING .010 TO .015.
I USED GOOD OLD 4198 NOW YOU HAVE NEW POWDERS TO PLAY WITH AND THE NEW LAPUA BRASS. YOUR GOING TO LOVE THIS CASE.
THE 52 AND 53 SIERRA SHOT EXCELLENT. NOW YOU HAVE AN EVEN LARGER SELECTION, BURGER SPEER NOSLER .
I ALSO USED REMINGTON BENCHREST BULLETS AT ONE TIME.
.
HAVE FUN AND ENJOY'
