.222 rem lapua case neck diameter

gettting ready to do an order from sinclair and need to find out the neck diameter of an unturned .222rem lapua case to get some bushings on the way ;D

thanks! are you running a bushing die? its for a hunting rifle so ill probably get a .245" bushing and see if thats enough tension.

My new Lapua 222 match brass(product designation 4PH5002) has an average neck wall thickness of .0130". The case head is marked match. The loaded(unturned) neck diameter is .250". My older Lapua 222 brass is not marked match on the case head and has a neck wall thickess approx .001" less than the new match brass.

Hi there...these little 222s are a lot of fun; very accurate; cheap to reload; barrel life forever; low recoil;.....on my 722 w/lapua brass I seem to have the best results with the 247 bushing most of the time but when I anneal and the necks are a little softer, I like the 246... just my experience...very best wishes. You are in for a lot of fun! You may want to also check out Russ Haydon Supply...very good prices on bushings.
