222 Lapua brass in Smith & Wesson Rifle?

Will I be able use 222 Lapua brass in a 80's Swith and Wesson 222 rifle? I have heard there can be fit issues with the Lapua brass and SAAMI rifles.

I think you might be confusing the .222 with the differences in 6 BR Remington brass and 6 BR Lapua. I use .222 Lapua brass and know of no issues.

To the best of my knowledge S&W rifles were Howa's. If you had to, Lapua makes loaded 222 ammo. maybe try a box and see if there are problems. But with ammo the way it is now it might be hard to get a box.
