221 remfireball brass at cabelas

Just read the .20VT artical and looked at the brass selection and the brass is at 149.99 per 500.It doesnt show an out of stock thing next to it,But you might want to call first.

Yesterday their store in Sidney,NE did not have any 17 and 221 Fireball empty cases or 17 Fireball ammo.

I just went to the Cabelas.com site. The item for 500-count of .221 Fireball is IH - 213573

If you try to put it in your shopping cart, this is what comes up:

I wasn't able to find any inventory listing for 100-count of Rem .221 Fireball brass.

Cabela's is showing availability of 17 Fireball brass at $37.99 per 100, item IH-213572

17 Fireball link: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/purchase/item-added.jsp?_requestid=109684

One could purchase the 17 Fireball and neck it up, but it's quite a bit more expensive than the 500-count of .221 Fireball.

I don't know about you guys but, I'm encouraged by this lack of 221 Fireball brass. One, the cartridge is becoming popular now like it never was before. Two, because all of the clones being spawned from this case will make it a classic that is assured to be around always. I lucked out and bought NIB 500 rounds off of Ebay, before they banned gun related auctions) for $110 so I'm set, probably forever. I have about 1000 rounds of brass on hand and just keep recycling the origial 200. Because the Fireball is such a low impact round, I don't think you could wear a case out. I will probably lose them first.
Right now, I've tried to get a collet die from Lee but they will not make one for the 221 Fireball because, they say, the case is too short. They have one for the Hornet, which is the same length case, so I don't know why it wouldn't work. The only thing I can think of is that the mandrel would be .223 instead of .224. I can't get a real straight answer from Lee on this after 2 phone calls.

if u guys are needing fireball brass and u like good brass just get u some lapua 223 brass and a set of case forming dies from redding and u will never have to worry about it agen
