221 fireball out of 223 brass??

ok i'm pretty sure its possible but what would i need to accomplish this? 221 brass is getting pretty expensive and i have bunches of 223 laying around

Hello, cowboy. Yes, it is possible to make 221 Fireball out of 223 brass. Redding makes all the dies necessary. You will need a form and trim die plus a full length sizing die for the Fireball. I made some using new Lapua 223 brass and you can't hardly wear it out. Hope this info helps. Ron

I have the 2 Redding 223-221FB form dies as well as the 221FB-17MK4 form dies. I shoot a lot of wildcats off of the 221FB parent including 17MK4, 20VT, 221FB, and 300 Whisper and these dies allow me to make all of my brass out of 223/222. I went this route because of the scarce supply of 221FB brass. Having said that my group sizes have not decreased by going this route over the factory 221FB brass, my time at the loading press has gone up significantly to make it. Time will tell if it lasts longer but right now the benefits have not been accuracy, it just gives me the means to make my own out of readily available 223 brass. Oh yea....did I tell you it's a PIA!...it is! I sat down with 400pcs of Rem and Win brass. Imagine 400 strokes for every step, and so far neither has the edge in accuracy or strength.

I would think after you bought about 200.00 dollars worth of dies that one could purchase alot of factory brass for that amount of money.
