220 swift loads

Just got done bulding me a cheep 220 swift and just wondering what your favorite loads are?

In two rugers and a Savage

50g Nosler Ballistic Tip
43.0-44.5g AA2700
4000 fps=very low standard deviation
Accuracy usually opens up a single bullet hole

Go over to the www.varminthunters.com and ask a guy by the name of Paul Workman what the load is for his Swift. He is a great guy with a lot of experience with a Swift, I would trust his recommendations with a 55g & n-550. He also had some great information on the 60's in a Swift.

Good luck!

I use 38 grns of RL 15 and a 55grn Vmax .Was doing 39 but that was a hot load for a 55 gr Vmax in my gun.I got better groups with reloader 15 compared to IMR 4064.I just got a shooting chrony and plan to test the 39 grns of RL 15 under a 50 grn Vmax and a 52 grn Amax.I was shooting a 22-250 and the increased velocity has helped the 400 plus yard shot.

Checked my velocity over a shooting chrony and this is what i found. My go to ground hog round this year 38 grns of RL 15 was a bit slower then i thought it was at 3650 with a 55 grn V max.
39 grns of RL 15 and 55 V max was 3800 but not as accurate as the 38 grn load.My new project is to get a 50 grn V max to shoot well at or above 4000 fps and with 39 grns of imr 4064 I'm at 4050fps now,no pressure) i just got to tweek it until it shoots good.

my swift always liked 38.2 grains of RL15 with a 55grn V max velocity was 3730fps with a 26inch barrel
