220 swift build advise

I have a factory take off savage barrel in 220 swift. Going to need a action and stock. I know a short action will work but when bullet seating sometimes they won't work in the clip. So should I go with a short action or long action thanks.

If it's a factory take off barrel chambered in 220 Swift it'll be a 1-14 twist so all you'll be shooting is light to mid weight bullets which aren't particularly long and shouldn't cause any length issues in a short action.

What kind of gun/action did this barrel come off of? Whatever it came off of is what I'd be looking for.

Just what is a clip ?? Tommy Mc

The Swift is semi-rimmed, so it's easy for the top round to get caught on the second round. Just be aware of this when you load the magazine and make sure the rim is in front of the rim below it.
